Photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization for dye-sensitized solid-state NMR spectroscopy
Photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (photo-CIDNP) is a hyperpolarization technique that can provide NMR signal enhancement factors of orders of magnitude under light irradiation of the sample. Here, I will show how photo-CIDNP could be used to establish a light-induced hyperpolarization protocol to improve the sensitivity of solid-state NMR spectroscopy through the combined action of suitable dyes and polarization relay via spin diffusion.
